About
How it began
In 1991, Dennis made the bold decision to go it alone in the print and graphic design industry after many years of experience in print. With a mortgage and a young family, the risks were high. However, Dennis had the backing of several large clients, including Penguin Books, the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the British Medical Journal (BMJ) and Ladybird Books.
In those early days before mobile phones and the internet, Dennis travelled up and down the country, working tirelessly to build his small empire. Alongside him every step of the way was his wife Linda, whose support was invaluable and without whom the journey would not have been possible.
As the workload grew, so did the business. By 1995, Dennis’s children, Jo and Ian, joined the company. Combining Dennis’s knowledge and experience with Jo and Ian’s youthful enthusiasm, the business continued to grow year after year.
During this time, Dennis was fortunate to meet Dr Stephen Hancocks OBE, a highly respected figure in the dental field who was working with the FDI World Dental Federation. Over the years, the relationship strengthened, leading to a partnership with the FDI for their print and design requirements. This work took the team around the world each year for the FDI Congresses.
A few years later, the FDI moved its headquarters to France but retained its publishing operations in the UK, which Dennis managed for several years before these too moved overseas. This period provided invaluable experience and knowledge in exhibitions and congresses expertise that still benefits the company today.
Even now, the connections built through the FDI have helped us expand our client base across France and Switzerland, working with global organisations such as MCI Suisse, the World Heart Federation and EFORT.
Growth, Partnerships and Publishing
At the same time, the business maintained strong relationships across the UK, both locally and nationally. Dennis and the team worked on major projects including the Product Selector for the Royal Institute of British Architects and specialist journals for the British Medical Association, as well as managing their reprint department, ensuring materials were printed and distributed wherever they were needed around the world.
As the company grew, so did the team. Alongside our administration and accounts departments, an in-house design and web team was established, enabling us to manage projects internally and expand into website design, development and digital services.
In 2020, after decades of dedication, Dennis took a well-earned retirement, leaving the business in the capable hands of Jo and Ian.
Through the strong relationship built with the FDI, the company went on to own and publish its own dental journal, the European Journal of Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry (EJPRD). We also published and managed Community Dental Health for over 10 years, alongside the Journal of the International Academy of Periodontology, with Jo and Dennis working closely together on these publications. Last year, the EJPRD was successfully sold, marking the end of an important chapter in the company’s publishing history.
Where We Are Today
We have invested heavily in developing our own workwear department. Today we support businesses with a complete range of services from print, design, signage and websites to workwear, PPE and safety clothing. If it can be printed or embroidered, we can do it.
More recently, we have partnered with Twenty20 to launch an exciting new venture in the leisure and other industries. Through this collaboration we work with councils and major leisure providers on large-scale projects across the sector.
Today, the business continues to build on the strong foundations established over more than three decades. Under the leadership of Jo and Ian, we combine experience, creativity, and innovation to support clients across print, design, digital services, workwear and large-scale project delivery.
From local businesses to international organisations, we take pride in building long-term relationships and delivering solutions that help our clients stand out. While the industry has changed dramatically since 1991, our core values remain the same hard work, reliability and a genuine commitment to helping our clients succeed.
